I’ve Been Busy

I’ve been busy fighting off a nasty bacterial virus that was triggered by the antibiotics that my dentist gave me for my tooth infection. I think I am finally on the mend and none too soon as we are leaving for our vacation tomorrow morning (we would have liked to leave today but our son, who is coming home to take care of our poodle and our house while we are away, wasn’t able to get here until tonight). I am so looking forward to this vacation!

Greyt Inspirations is happy to introduce a new line of dog collars. Leather Buckle Dog Collars. They are available in solid collars, suede, airbrushed and textured. Fabulous!

I have too many interests and things that I want to do. I need to “pare down” my list or retire from my full-time job. Something has to give.

I have been increasingly ill, I just seem to get over one illness or problem, and something else pops up. Because of this, I am getting closer and closer to a decision to “retire” and spend my time with less stress and doing what I truly love/want to do. I just need to convince my husband to do the same…

My current wish is to retire from my full-time job, rent out our house (we LOVE our house and location so don’t want to sell it but can’t afford to travel and have the house) during the months of January to March while we travel with our RV in sunshine states.  We live near a popular ski-hill so it shouldn’t be a problem to rent it out during the winter months.

April to June, live in our house. Spring-time is gorgeous here.

July & August, travel throughout Canada. We have friends and family all over the country so it would be a pleasure. Besides, there are a few provinces that I have yet to see. We would rent out our house during this time period. As well as living near a ski-hill, we also live in “cottage country”, in an area that is very popular to people who want to get out of the city for awhile during the summer. We are also a 5 minute walk from a beautiful lake.

September to December, live in our house.

We are both very artisitic and would not be bored in the least with all our interests. We could travel and attend arts and crafts shows in the area that we are in to supplement our income.

I have it all planned out. I am eligible to retire with my pension in December. Now to just convince my husband it’s time….

For Sale

I recently made the very difficult decision to sell part of Greyt Inspirations. Because of personal reasons, I am finding it more and more difficult to keep up with the business and I don’t want a good name and reputation to suffer. I am selling off the embroidery part of Greyt Inspirations. I will be keeping everything else. The embroidery machine, embroidery designs, and the stock clothing are all for sale.

If you are interested, please contact me via the Contact Us with your list of questions. Please ensure that you are truly interested as I will only be supplying information to serious buyers.

Rowdy Roo Roo

What a joy he is! Rowdy is our newest greyhound that we brought home in March. He is only 2 1/2 years old and stole our hearts from day one. He is so much fun!

Sleepy Head

He loves stuffies, balls and anything that can be carried around including socks, clothing, kleenex…
(we’ve had to puppy-proof our house)

A few days ago, we decided to see what he would do with a very large stuffed monkey that we have had around the house for a few years (it was slated for our garage sale). Well, turns out size doesn’t matter; he loves it and has been dragging it around, playing with it and having a grand-ole time with it since he got it. Too funny!

He is the only greyhound that we know that plays fetch.
He is velvety-soft.
And a total love-bug suck – which we love.
He constantly has us smiling or laughing and has brought even more fun-times into our house. He has this way of twisting his head around and giving you the “adorable face” that you can’t be resisted (and he knows it).
Mandy, Shadow and Onyx all love him too. He fit right in, without any incidents and continues to make all our life more joyful (including our other greyhounds who have become slightly more playful; it’s amazing what some competition does.
